I am honored to join the incredible Inara George onstage for two concert performances of her new musical Dear Margaret Sanger at Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum.
Dear Margaret Sanger is a new musical written by the acclaimed singer-songwriter-- Inara George; the grammy-nominated pianist, keyboardist and composer-- Larry Goldings; and the celebrated director and writer-- Jennifer Chang. The story is inspired by the letters of real women to Margaret Sanger, whose advocacy for both reproductive choice and the insidious eugenics movement reverberates through the decades. The play explores the history of birth control and the struggle for reproductive freedom which continues to this day. This new musical piece will be presented as a staged reading on October 8th and 9th benefiting Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum.
